The primary mission of Calithera Biosciences is to develop novel therapeutics for the treatment of cancer and other proliferative diseases by targeting the dysregulated metabolic pathways of cancer cells.

We are a fully integrated research and development team with the ability to advance our discoveries into the clinic.  Our lead program is focused on developing an inhibitor for an enzyme in one of the primary metabolic pathways that is frequently altered in cancer cells.

Our knowledge and expertise in cancer metabolism is also being utilized to expand our pipeline with early drug discovery programs focused on additional tumor metabolism targets.
